INSTRUCTOR: I'm going to show you how to find the determinant of a matrix using the Desmos matrix calculator. So if you go to desmos.com backslash matrix, this is what you'll see here on the right. What you need to do is click New Matrix and define the dimensions of that matrix. So for this one, it is 3 rows and 3 columns. So it makes that kind of skeleton of your matrix, and you just need to put your numbers in. So I like to use my keyboard. So I do 1 tab, 0, 2, 2, 1, 3, 0, 2, 4. Once you have defined your matrix, you press the Return button. It's in the bottom right corner, that blue arrow, and it will give you a new line. Now, the determinant button is the one that says D-E-T. So you just click that, and then you say A. And it's going to tell you that the determinant is 6.
